Israel Commits Crimes against Humanity!..

The flotilla carrying medicine, medical devices and humanitarian aid to Gaza shouting the slogan “ Our Route is Palestine, Our load is Humanitarian Aid” with the participation of 600 volunteers who are the members of various non-governmental organizations from 33 countries was attacked by Israel in international waters 77 miles (120 km) away from Gaza’s territorial waters.

The Mavi Marmara ship which many of our directors including MAZLUMDER General Chairman Ahmet Faruk Ünsal, two vice-chairmen Cuneyt Sariyasar and Gulden Sonmez, Istanbul Branch Chairman Cihat Gokdemir and many members were in, was attacked after it had been sieged by helicopters and capital ships. According to the first news it was stated that there were 3 died and 30 injured but a few hours later the number of the dead volunteers was cleared as 18.

Furthermore, the crew was taken out by force; the injured people were carried in a non-humanitarian way while handcuffs around their wrists and aid ships were seized. The information transfer about the ships and their crews is still being hindered by Israel.

MAZLUMDER, would like to take attention on the subjects below which wound humanity conscience;

The attack which was committed on humanitarian aid flotilla is barbarous.
Israel’s raid on flotilla is totally a willful murder.
Israel’s raid incongruous with none of local or international law.
The attack is actually the start of a war on the whole humanity and the countries of whose citizens were in the flotilla.
This attack is a shoot to the humanity hand which embraces Palestinian people who are exposed to any kind of shortage by being seized.
In the perspective of the people who set out with humanitarian purposes this raid is not the first one. Rachel Corries was also murdered by being grinded under Israeli bulldozers. The attack which appeared today is just an enlarged repetition.
It is obvious that Israel behaves like a pirate and makes false demonstrations blatantly.
While the quality of the loads and the identities of the crew in the ships are open to any supervision and took place in the records, the Israeli managers do not abstain from making false statements.
If Israel’s lawless attacks go unpunished, obviously it is going to drag the future of the world into chaos and damage world peace heavily.

The things we as MAZLUMDER expect from the international associations and foundations, from the governments and non-governmental organizations are below:

The ships which were seized should be released immediately with its crew. Especially the injured people should be sent to their home countries or wherever they want.
The humanitarian aid load on the ships should be given to the destination without any interruption of Israel.
The communication barriers with the ships and their crews should be eliminated immediately.
The forensic process should be operated about all of the Israeli responsible by the countries which have citizens in the ships. For the responsible it is essential to be punished in terms of justice and rights.
Governments have the responsibility of attempts which are protective for the rights of citizens and running local and international law process.
We must be the followers of carrying out the verdicts of sanction which were decided by United Nations before but could not be put into practice because of the law violations of Israel and a verdict of sanction must be decided because of this last attack and all the diplomatic attempts have to be started to carry the verdict out. Moreover, as a result of the United Nation’s decisions, Israel must be removed from the places it has captured.
All the governments and non-governmental organizations must be sensible to probable provocative demonstrations against Jewish citizens to prevent Israel’s bad provocations. These people cannot be held responsible for the Israel’s unfair attack.
With the attack on May 31, 2010, Israel recorded its aggressive and lawless identity once more. We, as MAZLUMDER, stipulate that we will do any kind of tasks to seek justice for the kind volunteers who were attacked.
